Your First Visit

If you are transferring from another physician, or bringing in your little one for their first ever doctor's visit, please complete our New Patient Registration Packet prior to your appointment. This helps shorten our wait times and increases your one-on-one time with your pediatrician.

In addition to the Registration Packet, please bring your driver's license and insurance card with you as well. Having these items on hand will help us get through the check-in process as quickly as possible.

New Babies

Congratulations on your new arrival! Mountain View Pediatrics will gladly take over the care of babies born at all area hospitals and birthing centers, even if you have not registered with our office prior to your baby's birth.

Northeast Georgia Medical Center

If you are planning on having your baby at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, you should inform the NGMC nursery staff that we will be your baby's pediatrician, when you check-in. When your baby is born, the nursery staff will contact Mountain View, and Dr. Bell or Dr. Gilbert will examine your baby each day that you are in the hospital. They will also be available to answer any questions you may have about newborn care or the health of your baby.

All Other Hospitals

If your baby is born at another hospital, the hospital pediatrician who is on call will care for your baby while you are in the hospital. We recommend that you make a newborn appointment with our office soon after being discharged, as it is important that we check your baby's weight and ensure that she is healthy. Before you leave the hospital, please request a copy of the birthing records and bring those with you to your first appointment.

We have phone coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. During our lunch break (12:00pm - 1:15pm) and after hours, you will be connected to our answering service. For urgent concerns, you may page the doctor directly through the answering service. For life-threatening emergencies, please call 911.
